There was 9 pups born in the litter. 2 died shortly after birth as it happens with ANY litter. She laid on 2 pups that night because the light we had in her whelp box got unplugged and I guess she couldn't see them, they were flat the next day. We were left with 1 male and 4 females. Female #3 is the one that died after she left our yard, with no fault of ours.
