Red Ace went into CH Tom Boy her first time out, a 4xw, one being a Ch. Tom Boy hadn't gone over 25 min. Our travel to PR seem to leave the dog I knew at home. She was so scary she wouldn't come out her crate once we got her off the plane, we didn't have no time to give her since we got there only a day before. Showtime and she was still not there, upon release Ace didn't move and Tom Boy went to work, Ace didn't even try to defend herself, 20 minutes in Tom Boy's onslaught cause Red Ace to fight or flight, Tom Boy's pressure left no room for flight, so fight is what she did, in 10 minutes we're on a down Tom Boy with Red Ace out of hold. Red Ace had flatten Tom Boy's backend so bad that on her scratch it was a scratch of a game dog and differently that of a true Champion. Ace never moved in the corner but as soon as Tom Boy grabbed her, Ace went back to work to neutralize Tom Boy, at 40 another out of hold by Ace, Tom Boy was in bad shape and it was clear Ace only wanted to stop Tom Boy from hurting her. Even though she literally destroyed Tom, she showed no signs she was on and ready to finish Tom off. She got counted out standing. There was no need for a courtesy from Tom Boy, she needed immediate attention. She didn't make it, but she deserved to be called GR CH Tom Boy. Even though I may have been the reason for Red Ace that night, I didn't bring her back. I learned a lot that night about the importance of traveling right, and my expectations of our dogs. The bar was set high, I could of bought Ace home in went after all Champions after what I saw Ace did, but I chose not to because I'm not accepting no cur for no reason. I came back home with a pup off Stone City's CH YellowBuck and CH Miss Nico. Ace had already had pups off of CH Mayday, they were 3 months old at the time we did Tom Boy. 3 pups, one being CH Da Brat, who did her dam proud with that devastating backend style, as a main asset in the Going Hard line.
